We have recently acquired a new project in Soham a old hotel is being converted into a nursing home. We have almost completed phase one which has consisted of traditional render and set to new block work, Making good to existing walls and re-skim, We have also skimmed ceilings and finished the rooms off with gyproc coving. Soham Lodge Nursing Home is an ongoing project with the second and third phases still to be completed.
We were invited to tender for Austin Homes following a recommendation. This project was a new build in desirable area of Ipswich and required two plasterers over a 4 week period.
A variety of methods were used throughout the bungalow including; plasterboard to walls using the dot and dab method, plasterboard to ceilings with skim coat plaster finish and floor screeds. This project was challenging as it had slopping ceilings due to the type of roof. Our plasterers are experienced in all types of buildings and the added challenge of the slops made it a satisfying job to complete.
Since the Gainsborough Road property we have continued to work with Austin Homes in Suffolk.
RJ Dean Plasterers have been working with Cameron Homes for over 4 years on a range of residential developments. Hackans Orchard is a new housing development in Colchester consisting of 7 bungalows and 3 houses.
In each property the following work was carried out; to supply and fix plasterboard to ceilings, sand cement render to new block work, insulate and plasterboard stud partition walls. Skim coat plaster was then applied to finish each area. Sand cement floor screed was completed in each dwelling.
On a project such as this we understand our clients deadlines and we work closely to ensure that a high quality finish is achieved on time and to budget. We have a very good working relationship with Cameron Homes and we are looking forward to future projects.
